Imagine that you are a survivor of the Titanic being hauled away into a lifeboat, while the waves gently rock you back and forth, you see the enormous ship that was just so full of life hours ago sinking into the depth of nothingness. In your mind there are so many things going on, confusion, anxiety, shock, grief (for the other passengers that did not make it) and fear. The mix all these emotions is probably why there were conflicting eye witness accounts on how to the ship sank.
Some survivors swear that the Titanic sank whole while others say it snapped into while it was claimed beneath the sea. For over 80 years this has been an unsolved mystery until recently, researchers figured out what really happened to the doomed ship. Thanks to the efforts of the Discovery Channel, which produced a show on the Titanic, together with the help of Gibbs & Cox, they determined the ship sank as a whole.
